THE AMBITION:
YOGA GARDEN

Yoga Garden, an ambitious and ahead thinking project by Christina Smutny and Ondrej Svora. Christina, half Czech, half Greek, grew up in Toronto and spent a lot of time discovering yoga internationally, learning what the essential practice of the popular philosophy really is. Early 2018 we started building the Yoga Garden brand as a strategic construct. Yoga Garden should be more than just healthy exercise and meditation.

THE
COMMUNITY

Christina Smutny worked as a yoga instructor in Thailand and Montreal, among others during the 2000s. While living in Montreal, communities gathered in yoga studios that holistically adopted the philosophy into their lives, changing their consumption behavior, and altering their interactions with people in their lives to become more compassionate.

This holistic, empathic thinking was one of the basic perspectives of the Yoga Garden brand construct. The space between empathy, breath and strength.

A PLACE
TO GROW

Despite the challenges with COVID-19, Yoga Garden has launched in the beginning of 2020, and has already attracted an enthusiastic community. In addition to the regular yoga room and the hot room, the facility also offers "Off the Mat" yoga, offering lectures and discussions about sustainability, upcycling or DIY projects. Their Yoga practice includes long, silent hikes that lets get away and off the grid, to reconnect and refocus.

Christina Smutny and business partner Ondrej Svora already put themselves on the map and are recognized in the international yoga community, attracting guest teachers and lecturers to come to the Czech Republic.
